Louis Vuitton + Yayoi Kusama

Louis Vuitton’s collaboration with Yayoi Kusama is my eye candy. Infusing color and (my fave) POLKA DOTS, into Louis Vuitton! This collection is fun, flirty, sexy and modern feeling. Yayoi Kusama is an icon in the art industry and one of the biggest female artists of all time. Check out her exhibition at the Whitney Museum here in NYC. I plan to check it out sometime next week with photos!

Here are some of my fave items from the collaboration. You can purchase any of these items and more at Louis Vuitton.

Chromat

I came accross this collection this weekend browsing my normal stomping grounds online and was so excited that I found Chromat! The designs are bold, wearable- structured art, available to women like me who don’t always want to follow the latest trends but create their own. As a woman who isn’t afraid to take a risk on an outfit or be risqué, I am so impressed and inspired by Becca McCharen, the mastermind behind Chromat’s designs, way of just getting risqué right! The structures of her caged designs really exaggerate a woman’s shape in an S&M kind of way; exuding sex and sexyness without looking cheap. What’s even more amazing is that each piece (even down to the swim suits) can be pulled off (for those who dare) without leaving you to look like you came out of the pages of Lady Gaga’s dreams (although for some that would be a dream– [raising my hand].  I just adore this line and cant wait to get my hands on one of the caged dresses and headpieces. That Mickey Mouse headpiece is MINEEEEE!

Check out some of my favorite pieces from her A/W 2012 line and current collection below:

Her designs can be purchased online at Chromat and can be found in select stores in New York, California, Texas, Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong and Sydney.

Naked & Invisible – Andreia Chaves Heels!

So I stumbled upon these AMAZING shoes unexpectedly while looking for Jeffrey Campbell shoes on Solestruck. HAVE I BEEN LIVING UNDERNEATH A ROCK? Sadly, I have <drooping my head down in shame>. Andreia Chaves and the invisible shoe and now the naked shoe, have got to be one of the most amazing modern shoes designs I have seen (in my humble opinion, aside from McQueen and the armadillo shoe). And I don’t think I ever have said this about a shoe before but the Naked Shoe has got to be worth every single penny of the $2,795.95 and $,3,995.95 price tag. It’s wearable art! Can’t say I will ever own one unless I win the Lotto, but this may go on a bucket list! Because Andreia Chaves, you will have a long wonderful career ahead of you and I plan on owning a pair before I die. LOL. These shoes are so amazing and innovative!  Stalking these shoes HARRRD!
