Mullet Tops & Dresses Rule!

For my girlfriend/cousin’s  birthday (we have known each other since we were 11), I decided to throw her a bash at Vodou Bar. Well, to be honest it wasnt supposed to be a bash, more low key than anything, but it turned out a lot bigger and actually A LOT of fun! As usual, drinks and food were on point. The music was great and the crowd was nice and ready to party. Most importantly, Shaniece (the birthday girl) had a great time!

I had alot of options that night to wear, but decided on shorts. I am not much of a shorts kind of girl until recent, but I couldnt pass up the tuxedo shorts. So I said ehhh why not.. I think it turned out cute.

Clutches from Heavenly Messages

On my way to get my hair done I stopped by the church next door which appeared to be having a like a market day and showcasing all of their goods and having a sale. After scanning the tables, I came across these bags. Super cute and real leather. Jennifer Francis of Heavenly Messages designed these. There were a few pieces that are not pictured here that I loved for a few reasons but mostly because they were sold to someone else already! A funny thing about that. I got a little annoyed with another woman there who had her own table (and not affiliated with Heavenly Messages from what I could gather), decided that I couldn’t take anymore pics. LOL. I told her and Ms. Francis I was a blogger and I loved these bags and would like to feature them. So Ms. Francis allowed me to take pictures (and this is not a reflection of her or her company at all) and then AGAIN the same woman stopped me! LOL! Telling me that is all.. Gee.. LOL. I guess she thought I was trying to steal Ms. Francis’ design? LOL. I don’t know. But anyway, I wish I could have taken more photos for you all so you can see the wonderful work she does. I have her line sheet and her business card and will be making an order or two for gifts for people. :)

The thing I really love about the clutches is the pop of colors and design. It kind of reminds me of my Aldo clutch in function (not design). Where you can fit a lot of stuff in it (lipstick, mirror, wallet, nail polish, emergency kit lol) and then fold it over and still look and feel compact.

Clutches!

Clutches!
I am so loving oversized clutches! Some can even double as ipad/laptop cases. I was totally browsing online and creating some wishlist items to purchase on each site to come back to and and buy but then decided to share what I am digging at the moment for clutches with you guys.
Spring is on the way, so these colors are totally on point. Maybe a nice Easter clutch?
